  1. Despite the fact that the Crew went on to the lose the game, watching 3TO pinch hit in game one of the July Cubs series and deposit an opposite dinger was nothing short of epic. I purchased just one of those lame JS/Walgreen's magnets, 3TO. God speed Russ.
  2. I got my economic stimulus check on Saturday, 3TO was called up, no work because of Memorial Day and 3TO has struck out three times today...this has been one hell of a weekend in the Brew Town!
  3. I was in touch with Stats, Inc. and pulled this interesting stat about games won by the team whose closer blew the save: Gagne has a chance to shatter this one: (also found on www.brewtownbeat.blogspot.com) 1978 Bruce Sutter, Cubs 8 1976 Rollie Fingers, Athletics 7 1983 Joey McLaughlin, Blue Jays 7 1998 Doug Jones, Brewers 7 1969 Frank Linzy, Giants 6 1970 Dick Selma, Phillies 6 1975 Steve Foucault, Rangers 6 1976 Bill Campbell, Twins 6 1976 John Hiller, Tigers 6 1978 Gary Lavelle, Giants 6 1982 Steve Howe, Dodgers 6 1983 Dan Quisenberry, Royals 6 1984 Lee Smith, Cubs 6 1985 Ted Power, Reds 6 1986 Greg Harris, Rangers 6 1986 Dave Righetti, Yankees 6 1987 Dan Plesac, Brewers 6 1987 Mark Williamson, Orioles 6 1987 John Franco, Reds 6 1987 Dave Righetti, Yankees 6 1988 Bryan Harvey, Angels 6 1989 Tom Gordon, Royals 6 1989 Tim Burke, Expos 6 1990 Rob Dibble, Reds 6 1990 Jay Howell, Dodgers 6 1991 Mitch Williams, Phillies 6 1992 Jeff Reardon, Braves 6 1997 Roberto Hernandez, Giants 6 2007 Francisco Rodriguez, Angels 6
  4. Well, I'm quite new to posting on this site, but been a long time observer, so here goes: -I bagged groceries for Jenks several years ago (like at least 6 or 7 years ago) at V.Richard's. I had to take his groceries out to his car for him and the Crew was in the middle of a monster losing streak. I didn't mention a lick of baseball to him and he gave me a $20 tip. -Right after Corey Hart was called up from Nashville in August or September of 2005, he was in front of me in line at Circuit City Brookfield. Bought a CD and drove off with what had to be his mom and one of his kids in a crap beater mini van with Cali plates. -Saw Brady Clark in 2005 with a smoking hot blonde at Barnes and Noble at Brookfield Square. Coincidentally, he purchased, "Baserunning for Dummies." -I know Braun lives downtown in a condo, but am unsure which one. -The places I've know opposing teams to frequent the most are: Blu, Flannery's, Safe House. -All the Bucks (if anyone cares) are nearly always at Tangerine. And because I'm still figuring out how to add quotes and links to my signature, our blog can be found here: www.brewtownbeat.blogspot.com.
