  1. Good points Brew City I have been focusing so much on the division that I lost track of the Wild Card. Giants and Rockies have many games remaining with Dodgers which will hep big time. Look who is sneaking up again quietly- The Marlins
  2. Thanks Ennder, I agree- All it takes is for ome of these .500 teams to get hot and we have as good a chance as anyone. I hope Zambrano's injury is worse han they are saying
  3. AHHHHHHH I am sooooo frustrated right now!! I do not want to throw in the towel but it is getting tough. We need someone to step up and carry us for a week or longer. I'm keeping faith in the fact that we have a very easy schedule coming up. Tell me fans -are we still in it?? (edited thread title to make it both more explanatory and less like a vent thread - hawing)
  4. I have absolutley no idea if this will ever happen but... Ed Sedar does a great job at first so... 1st base..WILLY RANDOLPH 3rd base..Ed Sedar
  5. well you have a valid point about the prospects. But t me, it seems that Doug Melvin and Ken Macha for that matter, have not given up, but leaned away from helping the starting rotation. I think this becuase, we really did not do anything good enough at the deadline to even help it. I mean Carl Pavano, Padilla, Washburn, and Gorzallany were all just sitting out there. So if they wont try to help the rotation.....why not our other big problem...bulpen
  6. haha you are right. But I'd love to have anyone like him. What we need, is to find a guy, like him, who plays on a crap team say...Arthur Rhodes (CIN) 17 Holds 2.15 ERA???
  7. I could care less what the call was at home. Fischer's last couple moves he has made were more than questionable. What is so wrong about guys on 2nd and 3rd with one out, with Prince Fielder at the plate?
  8. what the brewers SHOULD HAVE DONE at the deadline was get a quality reliever who can hold the lead for you. Stetter and Coffey will not last till the end of the season at this rate. Ex. Jeremy Affedlt (SFO) 23 Holds 1.71 ERA....we could trade a couple decent minor leaguers But sure Padilla would have fit in well, but you could have said that about several starters in the majors right now.
  9. Yea thats true, but he's been in the national league his whole career and he knows the hitters very well. Based on the Brewers bulpen, he could only help.
  10. I'm hoping that J.J gets hot in Septmber to increase trade value. Easy then to slide in Escobar. Casey is too valuable to let go!! Hardy should get us a middle of the road starter
