  1. He claims to have the time stamp receipt showing he actually purchased the original shirts. I'm not defending what he did, he's still an idiot, but I at least believe that part of it. Obviously you're entitled to believe what you want to believe.
  2. As a Reds fan, I haven't liked Weeks' progression. Not. One. Bit. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-J8YZHkGZpoI/TVWabgcaYoI/AAAAAAAAAAg/dkVLbrS9W0A/s220/joker_face__Wallpaper_JxHy.jpg The guy can flat out destroy a fastball. One of the most feared bats in the whole league for me, as he always seems to destroy the Reds. Can he stay healthy for another entire season? Really the only question that remains.

  4. I agree with the premise here, and I do think the Brewers are wasting Rickie's power a bit in the leadoff spot, but I would not move Weeks behind Fielder and Braun. I think Weeks benefits from hitting in front of those guys, as he has a reputation of being a fastball hitter (and fangraphs data would support that). Plop Weeks in the 2 hole, slide everyone back a spot, and I think that's your optimal lineup, in my opinion.
  5. I'm too lazy to read this thread, but from what I've read on this site, you guys seem to be pretty smart baseball fans, and are unhappy with Carlos Gomez in the two hole. Here's my analogy for the situation: Rickie Weeks is Park Place with 4 houses on it, Ryan Braun is Boardwalk with a hotel. Carlos Gomez is the luxury tax space stuck in between. I know that studies have been done that even the most optimized lineup is only 15ish runs better than the least optimized lineup, but as a Reds fan, it's an absolute relief that the Brewers insist on batting Gomez 2nd. Weeks, Braun, and Fielder are absolute pains in the sides. Plopping Hart or Morgan in the 2 spot makes a ton of sense for me. Although that does weaken the 2nd half of the lineup, it makes the first half more fearful than it already is (as if that's even possible). But just in case Ron reads this.... Nevermind! I like it Ron! Keep doing what you're doing!
  6. Well thank you JJ. Although you did happen to have a typo in your post, but don't worry I fixed it for you! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  7. Hey guys, I joined here right before the season, and had a big elaborate opening post, but it took a couple of days for my account to get approved, and didn't want to come back after the first series and look like a jerk. Just wanted to drop in and say hello, and hope to discuss some quality baseball here throughout the summer. I come in peace from RedsZone. I was going to start a thread on here to discuss attendance. Absolutely stunning that you guys draw numbers in the high 30's for Monday/Tuesday night games, and a Wednesday matinee. I'm quite envious. Milwaukee and Cincinnati are two pretty comparable markets, and its pretty amazing to me how many butts you put in the seats. Your ownership group should be commended. (I'm sure having the defending NL Central Champs in town helped attendance.... :-)..... I kid, I kid).
