It might be good do get narv firmilier w a bullpen role because in the postseason he will not be starting. We could give Estrada a couple more starts and re-evaluate from there. It can't hurt...thoughts?

Is he someone that we should go after for the ph late in games bench role. Would be better than cc/Wilson.

What do you think JHJs role will be? I think he'll play cf against lefties but am not sure where we will see him against rhps. My guess would be that he will play for whoever is struggling.

I think the brew could have used him. He's like Hairston, but would get rid of counsel or Wilson. He is a great hitter when he's getting ABs.

I wonder if we could get the other options we wanted (furcal, Carroll, barmes) for cheaper now that we don't appear as desperate. You think DM is still pushing? I think now that we have Hairston, furcal would be better than Carroll because he has a higher upside.

Crisp would be awesome. I love having a base stealer on the bench late in games and this way we would have him/Morgan. Plus je is a switch hitter I believe. -
I would be open to the idea of trying to sign him this offseason if the price was right. I'm not sure if trading wolf would be possible, but either way if he's affordable he would be good. Narvy could be bullpen help and there if/when bedard gets hurt.

I have been thinking we should see what it would take to get him. I think he has a career ave around 285 but he doesn't walk much. I think he would be a great option instead of counsell/Wilson, but who wouldn't be...

Just when RRR gets the 8th inning guy he has been looking for, he says both will close and set up. I hope he means Krod will close when Ax is not available. Ax has been great and should be the closer. I wonder if RRR could convince Krod that the 8th is just as important and he should just embrace it because there is no way he gets to 55.

I would like to see green get some starts before looking into getting a 3b. SS is our need and I think Melvin finally realizes it. I have always hated ramirez but I could handle seeing him driving in runs for the brew crew.

I would hope that DM and RR know how bad he is, but to reinforce it we could send them a link to all 43+ pages of this...we could also send them hundreds of stats and articles on how bad Yuni is.

DM should start by doing what seems obvious and cut either Council or Wilson (I don't really care which one). Also after the all star break someone needs to be added to the bullpen. The last two games the pen was pushed to the limit. After this, I'd find a ss that can at least field and get a sac bunt down(furcal?) and call up Green to see what he can do. -
I agree. I have become a huge Estrada fan. I like his demeanor when he's out there pitching.

Impressions of Roenicke so far (part 1)

It's early to rate him in my opinion, but with the line-ups he has made out the past few games his rating is going down. I don't see how he can even consider batting Yuni and/or kotsay behind Prince. I'm shocked Prince is seeing pitches to hit. With Braun out I think weeks should be in the 3 hole with hart bating 5th. Morgan can lead off, but RR is too stubborn to move rickie out of the leadoff spot due to his success. He does the same with lucroy bating 8th due to prior success there. I really don't get his reasoning with that. Also, Melvin hasn't helped assuming it's his call by having both council and Wilson and kotsay on the 25 man roster. At least RR didn't put kameron bloe in the game for the 8th today...
