  1. Can Corey Hart play 1st base? Is that a possibility? edit: and someone agrees between the similarities between 2010 Packers and 2011 Cardinals.
  2. Because diving, getting up, and throwing means the runner going to first is safe.
  3. Agreed. They hammer balls up, and the Brewers swing under them. Hart fouled off two that were hung.
  4. Does this Cardinal team remind anyone of the 2010 Packers? Win the wild card by playing well at the end and getting some luck from other teams playing poorly, lose close games in the regular season at the end of games, win on the road in big games in the playoffs... Just an interesting comparison.
  5. Either way, I think the Brewers or Cardinals would get rocked by Texas. They're really talented and look really good.
  6. Yeah, I didn't get too excited when it was 5-4 because of this...
  7. Lots of balls down the middle to Hart. Hope this guy stays in for a long time.
  8. That home run just felt like game over. Really depressing.
  9. What a hopeless feeling for the offense being down 4 runs before even having an at-bat. It's really embarrassing.
  10. That last out was so anti-climatic. First pitch easy groundout in the dirt. Alright I can breathe.
  11. I'm drenched in sweat, pacing... going to be slow at work tomorrow. This game is so intense and it's still two runs.
  12. This team is so pesky though. I'm glad it's two runs, but I could go for a 1,2,3 inning here to avoid their top.
  13. Funny distraction from this tense game: I liked the song when I first heard it, so I got the iTunes copy. It came up on the iPod on the way to MP for NLDS game 2. My 11 year old nephew pointed at the car stereo and said, "this is the BEST SONG!" I said, "let's see what you think after they play it every half inning." He's not sick of it yet either, but he gives me a fistbump every time it plays when we're together. So while it's badly overplayed, I now associate it with a happy memory. I only get sick of it after they're losing or lost the night before.
  14. I sometimes can't sit still. I pace or sway. I think it's part of what makes a great ball game fun. The feeling is intense. It's weird, I'm usually like that unless I'm at a game, where I rarely get nervous or angry... up until game 5 last series where I felt like I was in a coma watching myself watch the game.
  15. Neighbors probably heard me, but just did a Howard Dean scream at the top of my lungs. Holy crap my heart is pounding.
  16. My stomach is on the floor. I feel like I'm going to throw up I'm so nervous.
  17. Where were the non believers.. I just saw a lot of arguments that it wasn't a logical move.. if Krod gives up 2 next inning it still bites them... but I applaud Wolf.. HUGE tonight when they needed it.. like I said earlier just need to guarantee a return trip to Miller. Channeling my inner Bart Scott: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJshw2Axsqc
  18. I didn't expect him to throw a good game. Right along with just about everyone else Nobody expected him to go 7 innings with 2 runs (one relatively weak), but I had a weird feeling that Wolf would do well. He's not a bad pitcher, so it's not all that surprised he had a quality start. I don't feel all that confident about tomorrow, nor did I about last night's game. I think if the Brewers avoid the big early inning, they're in good shape to win.
