  1. Oh well. Hope Jose can enjoy the batting title and being known as the guy that had to pull a complete punk move to get it. Good luck using the batting title to try to distract everyone from the whole "Ouch, my leg hurts" issue during contract talks. Heaven help the poor soul that gives him a Zito contract for 120 games a year. Just means Braun has some extra room for an NLDS, NLCS, and World Series MVP trophies to match the one for the National League http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  2. Nick Ramirez just looks so completely overmatched here in Appleton. Throw him anything other than a fastball and he's waaaaaay in front of it. For a fourth rounder after a promotion, it just looks embarrassing.
  3. From today's Timber Rattlers' game notes: Saturday’s Roster moves:C Tony Pechek placed on the Disabled List C Rafael Neda transferred to Wisconsin from Milwaukee’s Arizona League affiliate
  4. Less than great outing from Arnett tonight: 4.2IP, 8H, 5R, 4ER, 0BB, 2HBP, 2K
  5. Very disappointing news to say the least. Count me in on the giving him until the end of spring training to see how everything shakes out, but that leash has got to be pretty short at this point.
  6. Rough loss for the Rattlers tonight. The 5 man infield worked for the first guy. Not so much for the screaming line drive down the left field line....
  7. Hopefully nothing too serious. Brownstein was able to fire his helmet with both hands from about half way between the dirt and the foul line after that happened. Rough day for control with all of the Rattlers' staff today, but the offense really picked everyone up. I think that's the most triples I've seen a team hit in one game.
  8. Greetings Brewerfan! I was at the Timber Rattlers game tonight. Arnett had a real bad first inning, but he was able to reign it in and limit the damage. He got it as high as 93 that I saw once, hit 91-92 about half a dozen times, and was sitting at 89 for most of the night. Quad Cities was able to make really solid contact in the first, but he did have moments of just dominating them with a good off speed/breaking ball combo the rest of the way. Here's hoping on him. The first inning was a major "Oh no, here we go again" but the rest of the game was really encouraging. He probably would've had a much better shot of getting the W if they hadn't run into Anthony Ferrara. He was an absolute beast. He's already got a major league fastball (sat at 92 for most of the game) and is a lefty to boot.
