  1. I had the same idea about the DH. Make it universal but only as long as the starting pitcher stays in the game. Removing the starting pitcher replaces the DH in the batting order with the reliever. Teams can then obviously pinch hit for the RP. That probably fixes MLB's issue with the "opener" SP and keeps strategies such as the double switch in place. Or just make it so the DH replaces one specific pitcher during the game. That way guys like MadBum and Greinke can still hit. A team could make a pitching change and simultaneously replace the pitcher in the lineup with a DH. Once that reliever is pulled from the game, the DH is again replaced by the new reliever. Maybe that keeps a reliever in the game longer so the team can bring up the DH for a second time. But, let's be honest. The NL will just implement the DH the same way the AL currently uses it, and I'm okay with that too.
  2. I don't think the Brewers are the ones keeping the merchandise from online retailers. I'm sure it's handled by MLB. Just a quick look at the Padres store on Fanatics and their new merchandise looks about as scarce as the Brewers. I no longer live in Wisconsin so it's been pretty frustrating for me too. When I was back for Christmas, I went to Milwaukee for a Bucks game. Tried to hit up the Miller Park store beforehand but it was closed. I was almost as excited for that as I was the Bucks game.
  3. So now you are trying to tell us what to wear to a ballgame? Because you don't like to wear jerseys to games, then no one else should wear jerseys to a game? To be honest, the last jersey I bought (a knock-off of course) was back in 2010 or 2011 (Braun). I have worn it maybe 4-5 times total. I'm not a big jersey guy myself, and in all actuality, would rather have a jersey with no name and number, so when the player leaves, or starts to suck, I am not stuck with it. The only T-Rats jersey I own has no name and number, and I have worn it maybe 4-5 times as well. This time, I bought a Hiura. I saw him play most of his games in Appleton, and really like the dude. Thought I'd take a chance and grab one for a measly $20. I find it strange that you have become a Sargent on the baseball jersey police force, but if that is what it takes to make you feel good about your choice in gamewear, then have at it. You're twisting my words, man. I don't have any problem with people wearing jerseys either. This is a silly argument. Didn't mean to ruffle any feathers. Wear whatever you want to the game - $450 authentic, $20 knockoff, or completely non-team gear. Go Brew Crew!
  4. I don't wear jerseys anymore. And I totally agree that the $300+ jerseys are way overpriced. I will not be buying one of those either. I guess that's part of my whole point. Why does everyone seem to think you HAVE to wear a jersey. For the same price as a knock-off jersey, that may look really cheap depending on the site you buy it from, you could just buy a shirt/sweatshirt with your team's logo on it.
  5. Look, you guys are free to order and wear what you want but you're not fooling anyone into thinking those knockoffs are actually authentic jerseys. Some of the Bucks ones I've seen are especially bad.
  6. First impressions....not a fan of the navy uniforms. Pinstripe is the best looking one, hands down.
  7. I love that hat. I really hope they include something like that, along with an all navy option similar to what they had last year.
  8. That would be a great set. I have to imagine they keep a "retro" uniform with the old blue/yellow color scheme.
  9. Well, if you were going to announce a new brand/logo, would you use that logo on the hype announcement? Would kinda defeat the purpose, wouldn't it? Right, but I wouldn't use the old one either. Doesn't exactly convey that a new logo/brand is being unveiled. I guess my point is that if there weren't any leaks, would any of us expect a rebrand announcement tonight? Seems odd how little they've done to hype the announcement.
  10. Is it just me or is it weird that they're using the navy/gold colors and M barley logo in the announcement?
  11. I feel like it's different with baseball. I would never wear another NFL team's gear besides the Packers. But, living in Texas, I own both a Rangers and an Astros hat and have no problem wearing them (although I wear Brewers hats much more regularly). On a side note, does anybody know if this hat https://goo.gl/PeZEvJ is going to be worn this year? I've seen the minor leaguers wearing it this spring and it's available for sale online. I like the look of the yellow brim.
  12. Paul - if you have a twitter account, you can tweet at @directvnowhelp to see if they can answer your questions. That's how I got more information regarding the issues with FS Southwest. Speaking of which, they fixed their bug and that channel is now coming in for me. Still very happy with the service.
  13. They also just released this feature - http://www.droid-life.com/2016/12/08/directv-now-intros-72-hour-rewind-feature/ That should ease the pain of not having a DVR at least a little.
  14. I've Chromecasted from my cell phone (Note 5) and an old Android tablet. Both worked flawlessly - HD and no buffering. When you sign up for the trial, you have the option of prepaying for a month and receiving a free Fire Stick or 3 months for a free Apple TV. I picked the Apple TV. Once that arrives, I will use that as my primary "cable box". The only negative to using the Chromecast is that you have to change the channel from your phone/tablet. I like the idea of being able to channel surf with a remote.
