  1. Yes, this is not a surprise at all for either of these guys. Esp a guy like Montee Harrison who pretty much everyone expected to struggle his first year.
  2. People being way too hard on Harrison, struggles like this were pretty much expected, his first full year focusing on baseball in A ball. I think going to rookie deal will be good for him. Theres still a shot later in the season he goes back to A ball, and next season who knows where he goes after Arizona Fall League.
  3. haha i am way way way out of the loop. Thank you.
  4. i do not know if this has been posted or not, but mlbfarm.com is a new website i found a couple days ago when i was looking around at baseballsavant.com i like the mlbfarm.com site because it lists all of the the current box scores from each level of the team, it will also list how the top prospects are preforming for the team, and overall in the minors. http://mlbfarm.com/index.php?team=MIL I also really love the stats breakdown they give, my favorite is on kodi medeiros. http://mlbfarm.com/player.php?player_id=656727&position=P the groundball/flyball is really eye opening, i knew he was a gb pitcher from his delivery and this is single a, but dang.
  5. ah wow, is that normal for a guy like gilbert lara? to never be in the DSL? Helena if i remember right starts up in August, along with the other draft picks. I guess i have to wait anther few months to see how they are going.
  6. question out there for you guys. Michael Reed continues to just dominate and hit everything, and he just steals it seems everytime he is on base. Now he has added some power to his profile. His BABIP is still a bit high, so his numbers will come dropping down, but what do you think of his overall prospect value now. Do you see him as a starting OF?
  7. very impressed that all of these high-school guys were sent to single A. I mean i am shocked how good Kodi Mediros has been. he had 2 bad starts, other than that he has been crazy good. His gb/fb ratio is outragerous, and he is striking out. Montee Harrison can't say I am surprised by his struggles. is anybody? it was sort of a surprise seeing him in A ball, its his first full year playing baseball fulltime, so lets see where he is in 3-4 years from now. Jake Gatewood is huge, he has huge power. very excited to see him continue his game. All in all though, last years draft might god won as one of brewers best in years.
  8. when is gilbert lara expected to make his debut in the DSL? Been waiting a bit for him. Also excited about seeing Diplan the sp we got in the gallardo trade pitch
  9. It's hella lucky. It doesn't make him a good hitter. twrily :o have not seen you since my days at the real gm forums. you still active on there?
  10. I know I am dreaming would so cool if fan graphs had all the stats they did on regular mlb players for triple A teams. Like the plate displine stats, or what pitches a hitter gets. Just so much useful info. I know someone within the org, is probably tracking that but damn would be nice if fangraphs could do it
  11. his isloated power is obviously low again, braun is a class act of the mlb. here is a good comparison of the best brauns isolated power .276 (2012) gennets isloated power .065 (2013) isloated power is slugging - average Speed they have is a good indicated to good a picture of gennets speed Braun speed number is 5.7 in 2012 gennets speed number is 6.2 in 2013 just some numbers to bat around.
  12. http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa501939&position=2B His BABIP this year is .470 which is hella good. I believe MLB avg is around .300 brauns last year was .350
  13. BABIP would be a good stat to go by. I am not sure if any site keeps track of that, obviously also the slugging percentage would be a good stat to see how many of his hits are singles , or 2b or 3b. maybe baseball ref has bbip . basically its an average of balls that are in play. home-runs don't count, strike outs dont count, walks dont count. so if you get a hr walk k ground out hit your total will be 1(ground out) + (hit) so 1/2 sorry if you already know this. would be nice if someone kept track of sabermetric stats for minor leaguers.
  14. Didn't want to make two different topics so i just put them both here. Victor roache making his debut a couple days ago really dominated. Just in low class a ball now, but he might be an offenisve star of the future, aoki won't be here forever. Will nice to see how he devlops. But the better question for right now is, when Scooter will be called up. To me their is no IF at this point. Weeks has been struggling, badly. I know he makes 10 mil this year and 11 mil next year, at some point you got to take a guy batting under .200 out of the line up. When is the question. Do they wait in till late may so they can avoid a year with scooter? I don't think they will be that desprite with him considering he is not a top prospect. So what are they waiting for?
  15. guy should be called up to triple a in no time. He has been pwning it. His control has been excellent, all of his pitches have been great this year. The guy looks like he could be a middle or number 2 pitcher in the league right now. Who knows, I bet they will call him up to AAA soon. You can leave him in Double A long with him dominating as much as he is. Wouldn't be totally shocked, if he gets called up for an emegerncy start, at some point during the season, to see what he gots. Of course you would just option him back down, but would love to see him.
