Wow Gallardo

Nice catch there didn't think he'd get to it.

This configuration is pretty good. Makes better use of the power Gomez has.

Argh K-Rod. Get the out and get out of this.

Wolf is a standup guy but I'm happy to see him getting knocked around.

The lazy fielding efforts being taught by Manny will be great for the Cubs organization.

A little wild. Hope he settles down.

Nice to see this many runs on the board. Hope the rest of the weekend is like this.

I like Jean leading off. Even if Braun was in the lineup I'd rather have Gomez behind him. Hopefully the fortunes of this road trip turn around tonight.

I like Hamilton on MLB Network. He's easy to listen to and understand. I should catch a radio broadcast sometime to see what he does there. That being said, Joe Block bores me. I hope when Uecker moves on they pull in a guy like Lepay, Provus or Powell. Lepay would be tough given his Badgers schedule so September would need fill-ins. I don't know if they'd rob another team of Provus or Powell though. I know they had to enjoy their time here, but time will tell. I dread the day Bob is gone for good.

This is a classy move by Gomez. I admire the hell out of it. He may have had some stupid outbursts on the field, but that's just his nature. He plays this game at least at 125% all the time. I would say he needs to learn when to pick his spots, but I don't want him to lose the effort he has out there.
