I am all for exploring the market for Collins or Perkins this offseason. Nobody is giving anything for Mitchell at this point.
I could see a match with SD or KC for Collins and Perkins would be of interest to a number of teams.
I am pretty comfortable with Lockridge as our 4th OF or 5th if Mitchell is healthy
Cortes to SD for Suarez? We get better in the BP and really don't give up anything that would bother us long term. SD can deal Cease and re plenish the coffers.
Going rogue with my predictions
Cortes and Quintana to the Padres for Cease - Why? I don't' think we will get much for either one of these pitchers in a vacuum. Padres are super thin at SP. All are free agents at year end, so kind of net net there. Brewers rotation goes from really good to insane and Padres get 2 solid pitchers to cover innings
That's my 1 prediction, but I think there will be more deals on the margins.
I am of the opinion it's time for re-tool, have a chance next year and then be in great shape going forward
1) Sign Woodruff to the Luis Castillo deal (plus expected arb award) - 6 years 118 million (total comp from next season forward).
