  1. No idea how long Woody will be out for, but it is hard not be excited about our starting rotation regardless: Miz Harrison Patrick Henderson (assuming he'll be called up for Woodruff) Sproat/Gasser Also, Fitzpatrick and Drohan look to be good additions to the bullpen.
  2. Front line starters like Harrison don’t grow on trees. You make that trade with Boston 10 times out of 10.
  3. Would anyone else love to see the Brewers promote Pratt and make him the starting SS and slide Ortiz over to 3B in a platoon with Rengifo? While we are at it, promote Made to Nashville and make him the everyday SS there.
  4. I would have given anything to see that team in the playoffs, just to give Yount and Molitor one more crack at a ring. They had a team that could have done it I think.
  5. This was a really rough series. It is easy to look at the team and believe it is due for a letdown year after three straight division titles. SS and 3B are black holes offensively, and I don't see things getting any better with the roster as presently constructed. Chourio and Vaughn can't get back fast enough.
  6. Hard to justify a lineup that has both Rengifo and Hamilton in it. Looks like the team will struggle to score runs until Chourio and Vaughn return.
  7. Mitchell is such a dynamic player when healthy. He looks like he has put on some weight over the offseason as well. Would love to see what he could do with a full season.
  8. I would love to see Brock Wilken break camp as the everyday 3B and see what he has. I just love the power threat he brings, which the roster really lacks at this point.
  9. Yup, I don't think there is another ball club in MLB that can boast the amount of young, controllable pitching that we do. Frankly, I would keep every last ounce of it and not move any of them for 3rd base help. Treat those young arms like gold, that is our one chance to separate our franchise from the rest of the pack and hopefully contribute to winning a championship one day.
  10. I may be in the minority, but I am not at all worried about 3rd base. I think you'll see some combination of Ortiz and Hamilton there to start off with. Brock Wilken will likely start the season in Nashville, but I could envision a callup around June if he is performing well in AAA. We are going to be trotting out a young, deep, high upside starting rotation, with Woodruff as it's anchor. I would take that over some question at 3rd base, which we always seem to have a way of figuring out.
  11. Guys like Kyle Harrison with top of the rotation stuff don't grow on trees. He's young and has many years of control. You make this trade 10 out of 10 times from a Brewers perspective.
  12. A Brewers vs Mariners “first timer” World Series matchup would be such a beautiful thing. Seattle stayed alive by advancing, now we need to.
  13. I would pitch Peralta tonight in a hostile environment. Then if you need to go to Miz on Saturday you are doing it at home. The Brewers have to be better at hitting with men on base. That will do us in more than our pitching will I think.
  14. the Brewers need more steal attempts. Have we had one steal attempt in the first two games? Lockridge should be an automatic steal if he gets to first base.
