  1. My only concern with this trade is that the more lopsided it becomes the less likely other teams will be to trade with us!
  2. Short answer to this topic...We have one of the best pitching staffs in baseball but not nearly enough offense to win a World Series. They'll either have to get offense from within with a minor league promotion or via trade.
  3. Would anyone complain if Luis Lara got brought up for Mitchell at this point?
  4. I think you need to leave Miz out there for the 7th.
  5. Should have left Henderson in for another inning, as he was cruising:
  6. This team's ceiling is currently limited by its below average offensive capability. I don't think they really have anything to lose by calling up Pratt. I guess you could make an argument he isn't ready yet, but they must have felt he was close by the contract they gave him. This team has a high upside starting rotation that will likely be wasted by an offense with too many holes unless it can be improved upon.
  7. No idea how long Woody will be out for, but it is hard not be excited about our starting rotation regardless: Miz Harrison Patrick Henderson (assuming he'll be called up for Woodruff) Sproat/Gasser Also, Fitzpatrick and Drohan look to be good additions to the bullpen.
  8. Front line starters like Harrison don’t grow on trees. You make that trade with Boston 10 times out of 10.
  9. Would anyone else love to see the Brewers promote Pratt and make him the starting SS and slide Ortiz over to 3B in a platoon with Rengifo? While we are at it, promote Made to Nashville and make him the everyday SS there.
  10. I would have given anything to see that team in the playoffs, just to give Yount and Molitor one more crack at a ring. They had a team that could have done it I think.
  11. This was a really rough series. It is easy to look at the team and believe it is due for a letdown year after three straight division titles. SS and 3B are black holes offensively, and I don't see things getting any better with the roster as presently constructed. Chourio and Vaughn can't get back fast enough.
  12. Hard to justify a lineup that has both Rengifo and Hamilton in it. Looks like the team will struggle to score runs until Chourio and Vaughn return.
  13. Mitchell is such a dynamic player when healthy. He looks like he has put on some weight over the offseason as well. Would love to see what he could do with a full season.
  14. I would love to see Brock Wilken break camp as the everyday 3B and see what he has. I just love the power threat he brings, which the roster really lacks at this point.
