  1. I'd take this as somewhat better news than what we had been expecting. If the Brewers were going to make more money with MLB they would've stayed with them, since the Diamond contract was up anyways and they had no obligation to renew. This new deal probably signifies that the Brewers feel they can get more money from Diamond than from going through MLB.tv. Brock likely is right that Diamond/Fanduel/Ballys is paying the Brewers less than last year, however, which is why you've been seeing the belt tightening moves by the team this winter (sadly also seen by some other teams too). The old economic models are changing and this is only a first step into the new world. Also the connection with Amazon might mean better revenues in the future. At least the connection with a Prime account will make it easier for subscribers.
