  1. With the World Series over and the shortcomings in the Astros bullpen made abundantly clear do they make a play for a bullpen ace? What kind of package do you think the Brewers could expect for Hader?
  2. Now that the dust has settled, who is the one (or ones) that the Brewers didn't sign that you were hoping for? For me it was Myles Austin and/or Carter Rustad. Not being a professional talent evaluator, I liked what I read about them as potential high ceiling prospects. They did a great job signing as many players as they did, but I am greedy and always want one more.
  3. Remembering that Ramirez was a very successful closer in college, I was surprised to see that they hadn't made the switch sooner. Given his relative lack of success with the bat.
  4. Where is the damn like button for this post. I wholeheartedly agree. He has cut off his nose to spite his face.
  5. Wrong,. It's a business move by Lucroy. And a smart one. We may not like it, but i'm not going to beat up Lucroy over trying to use his leverage. Leverage? He just said no. That's not leveraging that is throwing a temper tantrum. No team in their right mind would agree to what he demanded with what they would have to give up. He didn't say give me an extension or let me walk. His "smart business move" has doomed him to playing out the season on a rebuilding club. The one thing he said that he didn't want to do.
  6. He wanted the Indians to make him a free agent at the end of the season. That's not a negotiation tactic, that is a big fat middle finger to both sides. Don't say that you want to go to a contender then when you get your wish, pull the carpet out. Seems more than a little like a douche move.
  7. I would think that Bregman and Gurriel would make it much more likely that AJ Reed would be available in a potential deal for Lucroy.
  8. Lucas Erceg, Interesting pick. Hit for a lot of power at an NAIA school. Played well at Berkeley so I will be interested to see how he does. He is a solid fielder with a great arm.
  9. The Oakland Athletics select with the sixth pick in the Rule 4 First year player selection draft Nick Senzel, Third Baseman, from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville. This just feels like an Oakland selection.
  10. The Milwaukee Brewers select with the Fifth pick in the Rule 4 First year player selection draft Riley Pint. Right-handed pitcher from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Overland Park, Kansas. The way this board shakes out, You have to take a chance on the guy who could be an ace. I don't get the warm fuzzies like I would have with Groome but...
  11. The Colorado Rockies select with the Fourth pick in the Rule 4 First year player selection draft Mickey Moniak, Outfielder, from La Costa Canyon HS, Carlsbad California. The player they have been most linked to in the run up to the draft.
  12. The Atlanta Braves select with the Third pick in the Rule 4 First year player selection draft Mickey Moniak, Outfielder, from La Costa Canyon HS, Carlsbad California. This is assuming that Moniak will take a below slot deal to allow the Braves to throw over slot money at somebody who falls to 40 or 44.
  13. The Cincinnati Reds select with the Second pick in the Rule 4 First year player selection draft Kyle Mercer, Outfielder, from Mercer University.
  14. First post so not sure what weight it'll carry, but the Philadelphia Phillies select with the first pick in the Rule 4 First year player selection draft AJ Puk, Left Handed Pitcher, from the Universirt of Florida - Gainesville.
