  1. Were the same fans concerned when the Brewers had a similar stretch before the all star break?
  2. I feel like the philosophy has been to win the series, not to sweep the series. When the Brewers clinch the series split or victory prior to Sunday, they choose to rest players for the next series. If someone wanted to look it up, I bet their record on Sundays is a lot better when they need to win to split or win the series.
  3. My vote would be Jungmann. Going into the season I felt like main goal for this team was to figure out what they had moving forward. Who were the players and who were the pretenders? In a previous thread, it was discussed the number of promising players that will be Rule 5 eligible after this season and the need to find room on the 40 man roster for them. Although I'm not overly confident in Jungmann in the rotation, I do feel strongly that it's now or never for him. If he can't get it done this season in the majors, then he should no longer have a spot on the 40 man roster moving forward. Putting him in the rotation now will answer that question.
  4. Last report I saw on him listed a timetable of late July, early August.
  5. Last year I was very excited when the Brewers selected Chad McLanahan in the 11th round and then over slotted him a $1.2 million signing bonus to get him. The Brewers rolled the dice and I was happy to see it. Although the sample size is still very small, I'm alarmed at his high strikeout rate. In 144 at bats last year in the AZL league, he struck out 45 times (31%). Now early on this year in the Pioneer League, he has 14 strikeouts in 28 at bats (50%) and is only hitting .179. Chad is still very young at 19 and has less than a full year of professional baseball under his belt, so it's still very early for him. With that being said, how concerned are you with his early struggles? Is he still a prospect or is he simply an 11th round pick that is turning out the way most 11th round picks turn out?
