Yelly came back from his resting injury and has basically done nothing. That first K was embarrassing for a veteran. Why wold anyone not pitch him low and away.. He's going after them. hn has hit one Been a month since Vaughn has hit one. Truth is no one is playing great. Murphy's resting policy is not working as everyone looks out of rhythm. lost what, 6 of the 7 last series. Looking like the Crew of old.

One watches fastballs right over the plate, the next one swings wildly at crap in the dirt. Agreed- a whole new hitting approach/coach is needed.

Veterans again. Can't field a ground ball at you. Freddy tires and elevates the ball and walks straight to the showers. I guess he knew what was going to follow. It doesn't matter the decade or even the century- put a Brewer uniform on them and watch them shart themselves in the post season.

There is literally no such thing as a back door division win. We had a great summer and built a big divisional lead that was enough to hold up at the end of the year. I am as frustrated as anybody about how this season ended but no reason to diminish their regular season accomplishments - even with a poor last week or two to end.[/quote Screwed around for a month looking terrible. Every team in the playoffs was better. Except for maybe the white Sox This is easily the most disappointing end to a season in a long time. Usually you have appreciation for a playoff team even when they lose in the playoffs But this one is different. All they did was screw around for a month. For a month Bingo!

i'll agree with you on that. But he's going to need a hitting coach to do that. They all could use batting help. What they have now is not it.

Their lineup is insane. It's hard to not make mistakes when nearly every guy 1-7 can end the game with one swing. I admit that I didn't know how much power they had until I was at Game 1 and saw all their numbers on the board and it was like 6 straight 30 bomb guys. True. That's what you expect in the playoffs. The Brewers were the anomaly.

Does the guys body look like a guy who is going to get in the gym and get healthy?? Bulk up a bit?? I don't think so. Looks like a guy who could use a real hitting coach, not the pretender they have now. These guys look like they are all struggling to figure things out on their own.

Bottom line..many of us said the lack of offense would doom them and it did. Outside of Tellez being involved, 4 games and 2 runs......2 runs....That's as embarrassing as it gets. So many batters with embarrassing at bats swinging at crap while standing there watching good pitches. Who's to blame? 1. CC for taking the foot off the gas the last month and killing whatever momentum they had. Hope he learned a lesson from this, but I doubt it. He's still waiting "To catch a break." Teams make their breaks 2. Their nonexistant hitting coach that should of been fired last year. This team needs a different approach to hitting. This was so embarrassing to watch. 3. CC if he doesn't get a new hitting coach. 4. Stearns if 1,2, or 3 don't occur. What started as as a great year ended up as a back door division win and an embarrassing performance in the playoffs. There should be changes. But I guess we should be used to it by now. It's the Brewers being the Brewers Still one of six to never win the Title.

The only pitch call that upset me was the strike 2 call in the ninth that was ball four. That would have put runners on first and second. A huge miss that changed the nature of the game. It wasn't even that close to a strike. How can a major league umpire sitting on the inside part of the plate miss that. It was right in front of him. Instead a K two pitches later. The technology is there to get calls right. Use it.

My gut feeling is this offense will fail them. I hope it is wrong, but that's what I feel. To me, 1st base is still a weakness.

I don't care what other team's fans think. And neither should the Brewers. CC's job is to get us to the Postseason healthy after locking up the division and playoff seeding. Just yesterday the Dodgers lost Clayton Kershaw, possibly for the season. That alone should be incentive enough for us to see the virtue of the play-it-safe approach for these very very meaningless games at this point. Yep……you play everyone everyday and pitch guys regular innings with no rest and someone gets hurt and you get crucified…….you play it safe and then perform poorly in the playoffs and people will assume it’s because you rested guys…… No win situation. Heck.....They get hurt not even playing!

A guy who is hanging around 2.0 ERA wirh over 200ks should be considered a Cy Young candidate. But he has a losing record near the end of the year. Crappy offense.

Another ball out of the zone. Good breaking ball fooled two brewers. Just goes to show you don't have to always throw a strike when a batter is in a tough position.
