Ed Howard was the player I really, really wanted us to draft..I get the Cubs taking him, but really wish they hadn't.

Anderson was a 2.7 WAR player last year. They signed him for 5 million dollars. If he's hurt next year or sucks both of which are fairly probable, the team is out $5 million dollars and moves on. If Anderson delivers at even a 2.0 WAR they come out like a bandit. If he pitches well while the rest of the team sucks they can flip him at the deadline for something. It's not Cole or Strasburg but he's a bonafide major league pitcher on a short term contract. Whats not to like. What’s not to like is that if they are not gonna give Peralta or Burnes innings as a MLB starter in 2020, why not at least sign a slightly younger pitcher that still has some upside like Julio Teheran or Taijuan Walker etc even if it costs slightly more than an Anderson type? Why overpay for García and especially Sogard? What I don't understand is that you keep saying we "overpaid" or "paid more than the going rate" for Garcia..how do you know what the going rate was? How do you know what his other offers were? Are you basing this off of purely speculation?

Well there goes my pregame prediction...

Bottom 9th. Brewers down 1. Jansen on the mound. Kratz singles, Arcia K's...Schoop PH's and hits a walk off 2 run shot. Forever going down in Brewer lore.

I think 2-2-1-1-1 should be the way the series are lined up That will never happen in baseball. Need to get the season over with before November and can’t have that many travel days. I get that part, just the way its set up there really isn't a home field advantage other than getting a game 7 at home if it gets that far.

Moose definitely didnt fall there, he dove at the runner...

The guy who's 2-for-4 with a run and a big RBI tonight? I would rather have Villar but there must have been some kind of clubhouse issue with him, I don't know. I really dont understand the Schoop hate..he has come up with some very big hits lately, and its obvious how he was pressing right after the trade. I think he will have a very nice season for us next year if he gets to play every day. That's what I'm hoping for. That and a tweak of the starting rotation. But for now Shaw should see the field more than him. I gotta say, my only real hope for the starting rotation next season is to see Burnes and Woodruff in it. Even though it is sort of salivating to think of what our bullpen could be if those 2 are both in our BP. I think I just contradicted myself, but I dont care.

Wow, Knebel has been huge lately. This team is so much better with old Knebel back.

Man, if we get this Knebel the rest of the way, I really like our chances

I really want to see a foot race between Kratz and Bartolo Colon.

For the pitcher definitely, not for Schoop

There's our cleanup hitter...
