  1. That's what I'm saying. With our hitting, we need great pitching. It's possible to be in it with great pitching.
  2. The offense is terrible, but the bullpen gave up 4 runs and the score is 4-1.
  3. Nice straight fastball down the center to a professional hitter.
  4. Yet. Absolutely nothing will change to the viewer except that the umps won't need to crouch and the calls will be accurate.
  5. I've become a robot guy. It just feels like the umps are really bad this year for some reason, maybe because they have the added burden of pitch clock management. It's been just awful.
  6. He's become our Scooter Rizzuto, but I still think he's great!
  7. To be serious contenders, we really need Burnes to find his game.
  8. I'm still kind of surprised the Brewers were able to pick up a .265 hitter (Tapia) off the discard pile.
  9. Fire the hitting coaches. I know hitting coaches don't always make that much of a difference, but at this point, it will send a message and maybe some new eyes will help these hitters a little bit. They can't get much worse.
  10. 5 games is not that small. Teheran has been terrific for us, and right now I have more confidence in him than Burnes, who is not commanding his pitches as well as he did when he was an all-star. With any kind of run support, Teheran would be 5-0. Maybe he's due for a stinker, but right now he's the best we've got.
  11. Teheran is our best starter by far in terms of stats. His ERA and WHIP lead the club, and that includes Devin.
  12. Went to the game tonight. Brutal to lose 10-2 with Burnes on the mound. The roof was open. That was good. The best part of the night was watching Brosseau retire the side at the top of the 9th. Report over.
  13. Good win. Nice outing by Freddy. Burnes tomorrow.
