  1. It doesn't always. Sometimes it's pretty straight and gets him trouble. But tonight looks good! Maybe he eats some innings.
  2. It was the first pitch against Siegler that I'm whining about.
  3. The first pitch looked high to me. The last strike was borderline. Seigler can't take them that close with two strikes, but that's easy to say from the easy chair.

  5. Yes, several numbers, as posted above, and also including how Durbin hits 24 points lower against righties. Durbin would have to hit a triple or homer to tie/win the game, unless Sal was on the move, then a double might do it. I'm only guessing, but maybe Murph just wanted someone not to make an out so Wild Bill could come to the plate. Siegler has managed to get walks, and he actually probably should have in this AB, if the ump had glasses.
  6. I agree. If you just have a fastball against professional hitters, even if that fastball is 100 mph, you're a one-legged man in a butt kicking contest. Correction: Unless your name is Nolan Ryan.
