If you can get Mayo for Megill you have to do that right? Doesn't necessarily fit our defensive mold at 3B but could be the 1B/DH in a year or 2 when Made/Pratt/Fischer push him out.

If you sign Ramon Urias to platoon w/ Hamilton to start the year you have pretty good coverage until one of the young guys are ready. Urias vs LHP (2y split) - .275/.328/.782 Hamilton vs RHP (2y split) - .235/.295/.686 If you take Hamilton out of Fenway vs RHP - ,261/.315/.789 Conservative platoon split would look like .250/.300/.720. That would be at least serviceable.

The more I look at the possible additions we can make to our roster, Diaz looks like the perfect fit. He is corner IF, top of the order bar and RHH. He is the type of player I would possibly overpay for if we are truly going all in on 23/24. What do you all think it would take for the Rays to move him?

Mitchell for Bohm seems like a nice even swap. They don't have much in the way of young OF in their top 10 and they are struggling to find a CF to pair with Harper/Castellanos/Schwarber. Bohm works in easily at 1B w/ Tellez, can spell Urias at 3B, and play LF in a pinch.
