I don't pay much attention to the world of card collecting but it is wild to me that things that have so little tangible value (e.g, a piece of cardboard, a digital "coin") are somehow worth so much money. Also, without knowing the details, these 1/1 cards seem like they're pushing the boundary of sports cards basically being gambling. I suppose you could make the case that they always kind of have been to some extent, but still...
