  1. I feel like our biggest weakness is still bullpen depth. I worry 1 or 2 injuries could easily be a big problem, especially with such young starters. I wonder what the plan is, beyond McGee and Yoho? Do they have young arms that are ready to try? How much potential does Childers have? Would he be next man up?
  2. I understand that his numbers are down. I also understand he has a hefty contract. I just think potentially he would be a really solid addition to the line up, especially considering Mitchell's injury. I guess I feel like we are probably a better team with Reynolds over Collins. I'm not saying we overpay from prospect perspective or that we pay the whole contract... everything has it's price...dammit they just lost
  3. I don't understand that response. You don't think the Brewers could use Brian Reynolds?
  4. Since we can't get Brian Reynolds out .... maybe we should trade for him? What would it take to get him ?
  5. I agree, would really like to see them reward Contreras, before the season
  6. How would everyone feel about trying to land Luis Robert? An outfield of Chourio, Robert, Yelich, and whoever we don't trade under that scenario would be pretty nice...
  7. Good point on Ortiz. It isn't necessarily Adames that gets moved. It could be Turang, Ortiz, or Adames...nice to have three shortstops when several teams need one
  8. The other two don't really move the needle either. They don't look to be upgrades over what we have at those positions. I'd want pitching
  9. A move like that makes sense to me. Then move Willy Adames and other pieces for a young starting pitcher.
  10. I'd like to know why Yelich is not moved to 1b. It seems to be the one thing the Brewers seem pretty adamant about, but it seems like a natural move to make him the 1b/dh. Especially if Chourio is starting with the Brewers. An outfield of Frelick,Chourio, and Mitchell with TT and Perkins on the bench and Weimer in AAA seems really solid....So many possibilities with this roster. It's going to be fun to watch how it plays out.
  11. I feel like Wiemer for Eloy is pretty appropriate. Both are wild cards. Who really knows if Weimer will hit? We're going to find out this year. It's a big if, but if Eloy can stay healthy, he's a right-handed bat on Ryan Braun's level. That contract is not bad. It's a bit of a roll of the dice but it doesn't cripple them if it doesn't work out. I feel like it's the type of move the Brewers need to make if we're ever getting a World Series.
  12. I completely agree. Just a couple of the top prospects should be untouchable, but now is the time to go for it. If it doesn't work out we sell in the off-season and recoup the prospects. The idea that we are going to come this far with this team and not be willing to trade guys in single A makes no sense to me.
  13. At any rate... Either Jimenez or Burger would both make great sense for the Brewers. We have the prospects to get it done. The problem with the White Sox is it looks like they are probably going to shake up their management. I'll bet it's difficult to know who is making the decisions
  14. Uribe, Urias, Huira, for Eloy Jimenez... discuss
