  1. Can’t get myself to blame anything but the ninth in this one. Those AB’s after Yelich double just can’t happen. Mitchell going down looking just can’t happen. Lara had to make contact. hamilton throw terrible but chaos happens when you make contact with guys on.
  2. The last time this team scored five runs was when the twins punted a routine ground ball that led to 3 unearned runs they are completely toast. And the division will be tied after Sunday
  3. Pat Murphys surgery may have impacted his brain. Sentezela got smoked yesterday in a game he didn’t use uribe because of two off days but brings the guy right in who pitches nothing but meatballs. that was the most obvious outcome the minute he was announced warming up.
  4. All you have to do is ask yourself if the brewers were down 1 in game 5 with a man on third and one out, who would you trust at the plate? not who would you prefer, but who would you actually trust? The answer is no one.
  5. Sadly they will be in second place by the time they go to wrigley for four. 4 in LAD, sea (elite pitching), Braves, between then, by the grace of a miracle if they even go 2-2 in LAD the division lead will be 1 game.
  6. Bregman 2 HRS 5 RBIs. nationals tied the game only to have the cubs score 5. Four with two outs . we have David Hamilton and Joey Ortiz taking full time at bats.
  7. Division was always going to come down to the 7 games against the cubs. They didn’t win 10 in a row twice on accident. the difference though now is whether they win it by 4+ or we can win it in a nail biter. their pitching only has to give up 5 or less runs to win while we are the polar opposite.
  8. Everyone with eyes knew this team needed a bat or major move like Skubal at the deadline and they gave us an IL stint and Sentezela.
  9. The at bats all game were abysmal. The at bats by Hamilton and Ortiz in the 10th were worse than abysmal. They are not starting bats let alone on a playoff team. This team will be the four seed and will lose to whoever gets the five because they’ll be deflated by getting the wild card. Not one single bat in the lineup you can trust to get a clutch hit. They’ll have players here and there get hot, but I wouldn’t want a single player in the lineup up with risp in the playoffs with the game on the line over other bats that playoff teams have
  10. Just abysmal. The pitch to Sanchez was good but the Lockridge AB was right down the middle and he missed it entirely.
  11. Any concern Harrison is hurt? Haven’t watched but just heard velo way down.
  12. Well - looks like we will have to scoreboard watch 3 teams to the wire. Obviously cubs are priority for a chance at the bye, but Braves about to win 9 straight. top 4 teams are gonna remain as so, but the order is wide open.
  13. Wilson is here for two reasons - mop up or when the starter doesn’t have it. It was still a tie game and the starter clearly didn’t have it. the same manager who pulled Sproat in the third halfway through an at bat made this decision 4 games later.
  14. Loss is solely on the manager. Everyone in the milky way could see Drohan had no command already blowing a 4 run lead. Keeping him out there after after the first guy reached was even more inexcusable.
  15. Hands down his worst inning making managerial decisions in his great tenure. Just complete malpractice to leave him in after the lead off single.
