In what world do we think Hardy would want to play for the Brewers next year after the "20 day " stint to work on his swing. I think it is a moot point that he will be traded and AE will start for the Brewers next year.

If clubs can do this to players do you not see the need for Scott Boros from a players perspective. If it is a business from one side it must be from the other as well.

I agree that there should be a limited number of challenges. If they are right on the challenge, it carries over and they do not lose it.

I know this will open up a huge can of worms, but here goes. I believe it is time to begin discussion on a ( replay) challenge system on any call made by umpires in a baseball game. I hated the system when they installed it in tennis tournaments. Within 1 week I could see the value of the system and after a few years I cannot believe it was not done sooner. As for the human element, it is over rated in my opinion. I have never watched a sporting event of any kind to see the officials do their thing, and in tennis (with the challenge system) the linesman have become all but invisible in all matches where the system is in place. Players such as John McEnroe terrorized the system with out of control rants in many matches. Today there are no arguments in tennis as the challenge system allows for a player to get his "day in court" and move on with a correct call. I realize that nothing could be done until a new CBA is done with the boys in blue but I would like to see discussion begin now. Advantages: No arguing with umpires as the play would be replayed on the jumbo screen and seen to be correct or faulty. Done deal I believe it would actually shorten the time of game as it could be done quickly on screen and there would be no reason for the manager to go on the field and argue with the umpire for no reason. The umpires would not have the ability to incorrectly change the outcome of the game. Ejections would be a thing of the past as either the player or the ump would be shown to incorrect on screen to all fans Go ahead and shoot me down with this idea but it works very well in all sports where the technology is available..

Did anyone else notice that the bullpen phone did not seem to be working. Kyles was trying to get a dial tone before the inning blew up. I thought it funny as he seemed to be waiting for a call to come and realized he had no dial tone.

I was looking for the schedule for games this weekend and went to the Brewers site and clicked on the month of Oct. and there is a schedule of games for Oct. baseball. It gave me a warm feeling, I thought we should all try it. It's fun

I agree that we should not be employing small ball now while everyone is hitting so well. A Braun bunt would have scored the go ahead run. The GIDP was just another rally killer.

As much as I do not like Yost as our manager, I do not think he should be fired for poor X s and Os. I believe the players do not like his style and personality. If we were to make a change we should look to a players manager to inspire the young kids and not demean them into lack of confidence. Frank K is loved by all the players who won with him in the minors and I think they would play better with a positive leader not a stone faced no pesonality guy. Just my thoughts

Anyone else starting to think that the players are confused about their roles on this team with our idiot manager. Get 3 hits after a cold month and you get to sit. Find yourself throwing batting practice and you are left in for 4 innings. Now lets give up this game and hope for a better game on Thur. I would never let my little league team give up just because things were going badly. I hope the problem with this team is not coaching cancer because I do not believe changes will be made this year and we actually could contend this year.

I watched at least 15 Rockies games and the best thing about their defense was the official scorekeeper. I saw at least 2 plays from Tulo that would have been errors at any other ballpark called hits. Balls running up the arm and causing a late throw to first is a hit? No doubt he is an outstanding defensive SS but not as good as the metrics show. And he can hit without scorekeepers help.

I am putting my money (no pun intended) on a newcomer (might be Ted Simmons) to be the new hire and assume bench coach duties and Dale S. back to 3rd base coach. Good bet
