How do you put in Rivera to run there? Put in Cirillo to run and have Rivera hit. Or run Bush. But putting in your slowest player to run when a DP will kill you is stupid.

Of course this also is why Yost shoudl have DS'd when he brought in Shouse. You knew you would likely want Shouse to go over two innings when you brought him in.

Why in the world would you rather have Rivera hit there? I'll take the guy batting .333 at the plate that is faster down the line. The runner going into 2nd is totally irrelevant and would have been out regardless.

Not sure what your beef is.

Milwaukee Brewers catcher Damian Miller left the game due to an injured head.

Am I the only one under the impression that Jose Capellan isn't any good??

He's actually been pretty good for the most part.

The beef? Rivera is your slowest player. Sure anyone would have been out, but they may have at least a chance to break up the double play. You have a free move to make it and you don't take it. Again Yost doesn't do a little thing that increases his chance of winning.

And not DSing for Shouse was just foolish.

I can buy PRing with a pitcher, but the suggestion to run with Cirillo and hit with Rivera made no sense at all.

And if you think a pitcher would be going in hard at 2nd to try and break up a double play, I doubt that very much.

No you're not. I gripped about this guy early in the season. He was hyped because he could reach 99, so was De la Rosa. Everytime this guy comes in I feel like he's going to give up a dinger, and recently that's exactly what he's done.

I'm certainly not ready to give up on him, he's had some outstanding outings and his era isn't bad for a rookie. I just think the talk of grooming him as a closer are very premature.

Another game where Ben Sheets proves that he doesn't know how to win.

What exactly is he supposed to do? He pitched a great game without his best stuff but as usual his offense let him down.

Ergh. The only thing more frustrating than the bullpen giving up a homerun... is the bullpen giving up TWO.

Sheets and Oswalt were both fun to watch, was in the front of 218 right behind the plate.. Both changed speeds extremely well, obviously, although Sheets had a couple more meat pitches.

Jenkins had no chance.

I love me some Corey.

Check your sarcasm meter. Looks like it's broken.

Sorry I've ran into many Sheets bashers that say "how can we give him $40 million when he's never had a winning season.

Yeah, I was definitely kidding, probably should have put it in blue.

Nedly loves him some Capellan. I said to my friend "you know Capellan is coming in now, right?" and there he comes to give up a HR, lol.

Nice pics btw. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
