  1. I think the 'lack of infrastructure' talk is largely coming from fringe national media types that like to poke at the Packers' fanbase because it's huge and generates clicks for their media posts/stories. Everything the NFL does is ultra-planned. There's a virtually 0% chance they award Green Bay the draft if they were concerned about infrastructure or logistics.
  2. BUT DON'T CALL IT A WISH LIST!
  3. Other reports that Darnell Savage restructured his deal over the weekend freeing up an additional $5.5 million in 2023 cap.
  4. It’s fairly surprising they made all 9 picks today.
  5. Wish the accuracy numbers were higher, but I also won't pretend to recall Crosby's coming out of college 16 years ago. Accuracy can be coached with mechanical consistency, so I trust our very good ST staff's projections on him if they like him. EDIT: Answering my own statistical question, Crosby made 75% in college.
  6. Glowing discussion on Brooks by the ESPN crew. They noted he could be the most skilled dline technician in the whole draft.
  7. Interesting surprise in that the Packers officially announced that Reed will wear #1, becoming only the second player in team history to do so…. the other is Curly Lambeau. #1 was supposedly unofficially retired/not reissued in his honor. Pretty interesting that they broke that longstanding tradition.
  8. I like Downs as a player, but size has the reason I’ve never really linked him as an option for Green Bay. Reality is that’ll disqualify Hyatt too, but I really like Hyatt and hold out hope they’ll take him.
  9. Packers have selected Lukas Van Ness, Edge, Iowa with #13.
  10. Just a quick heads up- feel free to continue Packer-related draft discussion here, including aftermath following the picks, but feel free to post general draft thoughts in our ongoing draft event thread:
  11. Per the value chart, the Ravens would literally have to give up all of them to move up to #13. If they're asking, they'd better be offering 22 and a really high 2024 pick.
  12. Based on the now generally accepted Rich Hill chart, 42 and 78 get them to #30, which seems plausible and accomplishes the goal of getting back in. If they give up both seconds, it would get them to 20, which seems higher than they'd need/want to go unless something bizarre happens with a guy falling. Tonight, though, that does seem possible I suppose. I'd only support moving back up that far if they choose to initially pass on JSN for example and he falls there. Otherwise, I'd rather have the two picks in the 2nd considering this draft class.
  13. Without looking for other examples and off the top of my head, the 2018 trade-down to get NO's 2019 first immediately came to mind. Traded back up for Jaire. One of the best examples of draft maneuvering that I can recall in recent-ish Packer draft history.
  14. Probably have to give up the 3rd to get back in the first, even from #42.
  15. Rumor has it that the Cowboys are all-in on Kincaid, and if he's there at 26 he's there guy. What better way could you guarantee getting your guy than by moving up to #13 to take him? 26, 58 and 90 seem like a fair return to do so!
