    I think he lost it tonight. That was pretty brutal. I think it's just a BP game for game 4.

    It's at least usually pretty easy to tell based on the title and author listed, so you should be able to get to 90+% avoidance rate just by using that information.

    Maybe some individual said that, but people say all sorts of things. That's absolutely not the overall take of the forum on that trade. It was pretty soundly hated, or at least accepted with gritted teeth.

    Have we? What I recall is teams trying to be proactive and short it up, and coming out during the game when needed. Heck, the Cubs let him throw BP off the mound which is quite unusual and the Brewers complimented. There's a difference between intent and a unique stride that lands where no one else does.

    Yeah it's the expected answer, but with his lost season Payne's quickly catching up.

    He kind of reminds me of Elvis Peguero, in that the arm action is so big that it feels like that's a contributor to the lack of control. Contrast it with some who's uber efficient like Woodruff. Obviously you can't just change how you throw a ball overnight, but it'd be interesting to see if tweaking the delivery would help.

    I'm not sure that's even true. Once we clinch the bye why wouldn't we? That's the whole point of the remaining games - put in the players you wouldn't normally play to rest up the others. Maybe he's optioned right away, but even then he could be brought back up for the last week.

    That's not necessarily a punt though. Henderson still has never given up more than 3 runs and it's reasonable to expect he could go 5-7. Sproat could do fine for a couple innings. Hopefully we'll score a few runs and keep the pressure on.

    Ohtani is looking very questionable right now, so they'll just have to muddle through with the other three.

    To be fair, their rotation was in shambles too, so it was imperative they add there, and they did probably as well as could be expected there for the number of bodies they needed.

    This is not true. It's not close to true. There was the early August period where he never played for some reason, but it's been nearly every day for a while now. I need to just save this screenshot since I keep posting it...

    For reference, he's played nearly every game since 8/12. Joey never plays was only true for a moment in time but the meme lives on..
