Giants announcers (who stink) just commented that Coffey is an odd choice here because he's a sinker/slider pitcher and Molina is a good low-ball hitter.

Nope, I'm not going to judge any of our pitchers until late april, especially bullpen guys. They are all too pumped up for their first couple games.

Rock thinks the gun is hot because Coffey threw 96?? Pretty sure the gun seemed right on all night when Yo was between 88-93 and I've seen Coffey throw 95-96 many, many times.

I like the Giants announcers, but sometimes they just aren't thinking. Molina grounds to SS.

I do not see how Hart isn't a huge concern at this point. His approach at the plate is just terrible. I know plenty of players have bad approaches and still manage to be valuable, maybe he is another Soriano or Vlad but there is still a good chance he is a platoon player as soon as mid 2009.

Nice to see Coffey get out a lefty. If he can be even adequate against lefties he should be a nice RP since he just kills righties.

EDIT: I've have said this before, but I think Coffey is underrated on here and will be very valuable to us this year
