If anyone is interested in Japanese baseball I found a nice two part series on Trey Hillman's time in Japan. It talks about the success he had there and also provides an insight into the differences between baseball and yakyu(Japanese baseball).

Articles are a bit long but the writer has written some great books/articles on Japanese baseball. It's not for everyone but I thought I would throw it out there.

Open Mind Key to Hillman's Success

Hillman relied on intensity...

Also, a couple other articles/series about MLB's effect on Japan and Sadahra Oh.
