man that double play really is irritating. I dont understand why Macha doesnt want to bunt in those situations.

Because it lowers the Brewers chances of winning the game probably.

According to the win expectancy finder even if the sac is successful the chances of the visiting team winning drop from 23.8% (none out, runner on 1st) to 20.4% (1 out, runner on 2d). If Macha tried the sac and the Brewers lost I think just as many people would have been on his case, whether or not it worked. I didn't have a big problem with it.
