2010-04-17 Non-Brewers IGT

Just tossed a scoreless inning in relief- something that most Brewer relievers seem incapable of this season. Plus, he was hitting 81 on the gun, probably only a few notches below Soup. Just saying...

Heh. Soup actually lives at around 86-88 most of the time, he just doesn't have good movement or particularly good location on his fastball so being that slow is painful.

Jeff Cirillo Mather is not. There is a tiny part of me that wants the Cardinals to tie it just so this game can go to the 20th inning, but I'm not sure I want to see Brendan Ryan pitch next inning. Pujols or bust!

I think a lot of people liked Lopez. Just no place to play him. Had they known, though, they could have kept him as a reliever. He could have been the next Brooks Kieshnick.

Terrible managing from both sides that inning. LaRussa has Mather intentionally walk two guys when he couldn't throw strikes when he tried. On the same token, Manuel gives up an out with a bunt, and has the relief pitcher swing away with 2 outs and the bases loaded.

Just gave one up in the 19th, but the Mets had to play some small ball. He did give up only one hit in two innings and though he hit a guy and walked three, two were intentional.

Taking Holliday out has come back to hurt the Cardinals 3 times in extra innings already.

We're tied! This game is ridiculous.

Actually another position player, Mather, pitched the 19th. Why the Mets were sacrifice bunting with a position player pitching, I have no idea. Now it's 1-1 in the 19th.

Keep this up, and the non-Brewers IGT will be longer than that for the Brewers today. Either way, it helps me forget!
Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Mather again Tony, really? Ugh. That was an ugly fielding play.
