2010-04-26 Pirates (Duke) at Brewers (Gallardo), 7:10 PM CDT [Brewers win, 17-3]

[BrewCrewForever]

Our first Dave Kerwin sighting of the game.

[ilovebeer]

who is dave kerwin?

[BrewCrewForever]

Guess Yo is gonna have to help himself just like he did last year vs. Pittsburgh.

Edit: I called it!

[ilovebeer]

I love Yo!

[GormanHarvey]

One of the weakest tag attempts I've ever seen!!

[Buckylovesbeer]

About time huh? Yo was due..... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

[BrewCrewForever]

who is dave kerwin?

The name Jason Kendall gave the Pirates pitching coach last season. Real name Joe Kerrigan.

[rluzinski]

GREAT call by blue. The ball beat Zaun by a MILE but the catcher just completely screwed that up. WOW.

[ilovebeer]

why did kendall give him that name?

[BrewCrewForever]

Doumit is an idiot. You learn to block the plate in little league.

[ilovebeer]

I wish we could play Pittsburgh every day.

[pebadger]

Yep. For all we like to complain about those guys, they very often don't get enough credit for making calls like that. I still think they give 'em up too easy at second on plays like that, but great call at the dish.

[badgerfletch]

I don't think I've ever seen a catcher make that bad a play trying to get someone at the plate, he had a long time to set himself up too.

[BrewCrewForever]

That play proved that just because the ball beats the runner, it does not always make the runner out. And I think to many umps at all levels of the game automatically think that when ball beats runner it equals an out.

[Invader3K]

Yeah, it was a very good call by that ump that would be blown more often than not.

[sargennm]

why did kendall give him that name?

I wish Gallardo was up next rather than Zaun
