Is this constant talk of Hoffman annoying anyone else?

I don't need to hear Chris Narveson talk about Trevor Hoffman and how great he is (even though he's not) during the damn game, you clowns.

No, I'm ok letting the organization celebrate 600 for a couple days. I did think the milestone was overhyped for the duration of the season. But now that it happened yesterday I think it's worth some glory. And I enjoyed the interview with Narveson, who won't be playing for 4 days. It is pretty cool for him to be able to be part of that. Let them have something to be excited about.

Ummmm.... A first ballot HOFer isn't great?

If at the start of the yearb someone would have told me that Casey was going to get over 100 RBI's I would have guessed the Crew would have over 90 wins

He might not be a closer anymore, but he's still having a good season. He also appears to be all class and a great mentor in the bullpen and clubhouse. I guess I just don't see anything wrong with enjoying a milestone and celebrating an amazing career when the rest of the Brewers' season has been less than stellar.

I knew I should have gone to the game! Have all 7 runs come with 2 outs?

A 6.09 ERA and 5.43 FIP is a good season? My, we have ridiculously low standards, don't we?

I just scanned Gameday quickly, but it looks like most if not all 7 did in fact come with 2 outs. It's two-out magic night! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Am I a bad fan if I don't love the design of the "600" t-shirt? I don't hate the idea of a commemorative shirt, but I don't think I want to wear what they've designed.

Trevor played poorly in April and May. No argument here. It's tough to get your numbers down as a reliever when you have 2 down months.

Did they score the diving stop by Escobar an error?!? If so, that's a pretty amazing error.

To my ear, Rock doesn't sound like himself tonight - like maybe he has a head cold, or between his birthday and the 'doings' last night, he did some celebrating.

A little off topic, but I'm watching the Tampa Bay vs. Red Sox game in the background and Rick Sutcliffe says, "CC Sabathia has LITERALLY been worth his weight in gold".

If gold is 1,253.00 per ounce and CC weighs 290 lbs. (4640 ounces), then if CC was entirely made out of pure gold he would be worth $5.8 million. So if CC has lived up to his $23 million contract, then indeed he is worth much more than his weight in gold. Of course if CC was made out of pure gold he probably wouldn't have much velocity on his fastball.

Hey, look at that. Suppan is warming up in the bullpen.
Soup appearing in what might still turn out to be "garbage time," against the Brewers? Niiiiice...if it happens.

He sounded like that yesterday, too.

They gave Pagnozzi a hit for reaching first, but since the throw went into the dugout, allowing him to advance to second is where the error was charged.
