2012-09-07 Brewers (Gallardo) at Cardinals (Lohse), 7:15 PM CDT [Brewers win, 5-4, 13 innings, at about bar time]

[thablingster]

I think this game needs some cheese sandwiches.

Usually when I'm up this late it's a replay, ah well. Who needs spoilers?

[pebadger]

I get how they do the location. I'm wondering about the recognition, or do the cameras somehow do that as well?

Trained monkeys and something to do with magnets?

[AZBrewCrew]

Braun is so clutch.

[Jim Goulart]

The power of the cheese sandwich!

[Nottso]

If those monkeys can recognize pitches that well from wherever they're stationed I say suit 'em up and put 'em in the batter's box.

[tdeggie]

thank you Mr. Braun

[rluzinski]

Sweeeeeeeep.

[DocLuna7]

Can we please hold this lead next inning? I don't care how many games out of it we are it will always be satisfying to beat the Cardinals.

[Spidey]

Thank you Ryan Braun!

[The stache]

[Lee16]

Is this where Axford breaks our hearts...again?

[AZBrewCrew]

Just for once, especially at 2am can.Axford make this an easy inning?

[The stache]

None bigger?

I beg to differ.

In the context of our trying to get back into the playoff race, with our slim hopes, no, there hasn't been a bigger hit this year. If we win this game, against one of the teams in front of us, we're 2 games under .500, and still alive. If we lose the game, we're 4 under, and it's almost impossible to get back into it.

And a HR in extra innings, on the road against one of our biggest rivals...is huge. This could get even more momentum going.

But Ax has to save it.

Come on Ax!!

[Nottso]

If Fred Flintstone were real I bet he'd look just like Berkman.

[AZBrewCrew]

And this is where Axford falls apart.

[The stache]

Don't say that.

[pitchleague]

oooh, just missed.

[rluzinski]

Good night.

[AZBrewCrew]

Don't say that.

Reverse psychology

[Nottso]

Good night.

[BrewerTerp]

woot.
