Didn't they have to remove him since they didn't pull a double switch when they put him in? ARam didn't get hurt until after.

I don't know?! My wife turned it to The Blacklist when it all went down....literally didn't see it.

I admit not knowing the specifics of the 7 day DL rules but didn't they say already Jean didn't have a concussion? Can you use the 7 day DL if they announce he doesn't have concussion?

Ya - checked twitter. They already brought Thorn in and then Aram didn't go out onto the field. So it was too late for the double. I got it now.

So the doctors should have lied about the concussion test Segura just passed? Who do you think we are, the Patriots?

I'm pretty sure you don't need definitive proof of a concussion. Basically if you have a head injury you want to give it a few days to make sure they aren't concussed anyway. That is the whole point of the shorter time frame is to give teams that time without having it take a whole 2 weeks to rest.

Knew this game was winnable. Tied game. :)

had a twitter conversation with adam mccalvy earlier today about segura and the 7-day disabled list. i wish segura would claim concussion symptoms to help out the team--especially with braun unavailable and caleb gindl healthy at the moment.

Is it too late too sweep the Cubs?

No, the Brewers will get another opportunity.

It would be really nice if the top of the order could push a run across in the 9th, with no bench players left I don't like our chances in extra innings.

This game has the feel of the Brewers just running out of players and losing by attrition...really getting sick of the Brewers opting to play shorthanded with all these marginal injuries. Segura opened the season with a balky shoulder that probably needs a few weeks rest to get back healthy. He's scuffling to start the season and then he gets his face opened up with a weighted bat - for the love of God put him on the DL and bring up an extra OF, maybe Gindl...you already have a waterbug playing RF because Braun's already dealing with stuff that will probably DL him, too.

The frustrating part about all this is the Brewers will play the next 2-3 games shorthanded, and then they'll retractively DL one or both Segura and Braun anyways. Happens way too often with this organization. Now Ramirez is out...was it from being target practice for Wacha?

Hey, guys maybe someone could explain this to me. How come Brewers have Maldanado at first base? Why not keep Overbay in the lineup and move his position to first base and move Reynolds to third. Can you do that?
"Two three the count with nobody on, he hit a high fly into the stands. Rounding third he was heading for home, it was a brown eyed handsome man. That won the game, he was a brown eyed handsome man."

My guess, and not saying I woulda done this, but my guess is he didn't want a pitcher hitting 4 in the middle of what is supposed to be our best hitters
