Strickland? Gustave? I don't deny that bullpen is a need. I just have no confidence in a junkball soft tossing lefty that has no stuff and relies purely on deception as anything more than a LOOGY which unfortunately doesn't really have much of a role in the modern game.

It wasn't exactly soft contact. he was hit fairly hard. but yes, the defense should have gotten out of that with only a run scored.

He gave up 4 hits this inning. He didn't get much help, but I'm not going to make excuses for a guy who gave up 4 hits and a lot of hard contact in 1 inning.

I still have high hopes that Ashby can make an impact out of the pen, but his debut certainly was deflating. I think Hader's immediate impact in MLB probably has thrown my expectations out of whack for Ashby. He's probably not going to be that guy.

Should have been out of the inning after 2 hits. Also, the 'hit' on the ball to Wong was debatable.

The hit to right should never have happened. The Dozier hit was off the label and wasnt smoked.
