Time for the offense to turn some of these hits into runs against a scrub pitcher.

Things are just not going well. A ball that looks like it might be a HR turns into a single with only a one base advance.

Wow Jace is getting hall of famer treatment from the Ump.

Man, Jace Peterson has been such a player for us.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Now that’s some hustle.

Yelich is seeming to be making a little better contact attacking earlier in the count. Seems like the pitcher has been dictating the count with him the last couple of years.

Probably just an attempt at taking no chances and going with the 7, 8, and 9th inning pitchers to close it out.
Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."

Let Ashby leave feeling good about himself and get some work for Williams and Boxberger, who haven’t pitched for a few days, and Hader who is returning from his Covid break with only 1 mop up inning.
