Cain doesn't even deserve this at this point....

He really hasn't adjusted to the slower bat.

Too big a swing and still trying to back leg pitches that he physically can't do anymore.

First two guys walk and of course Urias immediately hits into a double play.

This team is baseball dumb.

Hiura

.1156 ops vs righties.  39 ABs

.332 ops vs lefties 43 ABs

We've chosen to sink or swim with McCutchen against righties and the result is quite a bit of sinking.

Hiura doing it with the glove, dont get a kot of chances to say that.

Edit: Im watching a couple minutes behind

Not to be a killjoy but that was a pretty simple play with the high hop.

Any big leaguer has to make that play.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Yep, in those 39 ABs vs rhp, Hiura has 6 extra base hit (5 HR, 2B), in 137 ABs against rhp McCutchen has 5 xb hits (3 2B, 2 HR).  Caratini and Brosseau (when healthy) are better options against rhp at this point.

I was grading on a curve.

The best thing was that he didn’t have to make a throw.

Why,why, why is Hiura still on this team ??????????

He should be on this team because he can hit right handed pitching.

Not very much, they strike him out too.

This Reed guy has the weirdest delivery the way he wraps the ball around his back before coming with the sidearm.

Instead of focusing solely on Hiura you can just say that the whole lineup can't hit.

He is not a major league pitcher. We should be able to score off this guy.
