I believe it was a trip to SF about this time of the year that started the hot streak.  So yeah, a hot streak now can propel you into the playoffs, but my feeling is that the 2019 team was probably better than this team especially with the injuries to the SP.

edit: OK not a trip to SF and only a 12-10 streak from August 4th - 31st, so I am thinking of some other year (maybe 2018).

Yeah, that run literally didn't start till September when they took 3/4 at home against the Cubs.

In frustration … based on these three months of below average play … I’ve said a few times on this forum that MLW may finish 81-81

I fear that I may very well be accurate in that projection

I cannot imagine - with our upcoming schedule & based on the way we are currently playing - that this team will finish the season with 82 wins

Pittsburgh & Cincinnati are outplaying us with their severely depleted by trade rosters … this was our chance to make a run

Why do I continue to watch these games?

What else is there to watch these days?

Of course.

Somebody shoot me.

Well our new 8th inning guy just grooved a ball into the middle of the reddest box for Solano on gameday and he smacked it for a double and the lead.

Once again no offense is gonna do us in against a mediocre team.  You gotta be able to score without hitting homers to be successful in this game.

Walks are killer. So are wild pitches with guys on first.

This team is like watching a train wreck in slow motion.

Here we go again … losing a lead against an inferior opponent late when the revamped bullpen can’t hold a lead or keep a game tied

Meanwhile - I just checked - Josh Hader has only thrown one scoreless inning for the Padres which resulted in a W with former Brewer Trent Grisham hitting a game-winning HR

When I left for a fishing trip I believe the Brewers were up 3 in the division. Come back and they’re down 1 game and close to losing again.  This team is such crap
