I hope I'm not the only one noticing OF Reece Walling has likely played his best offensive baseball of his brief career over the past 3-4 weeks. Perhaps, the young man is catching on to some things? 2 3B tonight.

I see him have a good game then look at his season line and every time I am surprised because it feels like he's been playing so well lately

It is not easy to hit the ground running with confidence and impact like we are seeing w 1B/DH Ernesto Martinez Jr. since his promotion to Double-A Biloxi.  We are possibly witnessing a career Renaissance in 2023. When you're this hot for this long, it becomes a new skill. I really really want to believe this is the player we have. Hope springs eternal.

Regardless, huge reset 'W' for Biloxi tonight. They hadn't been getting anything from Chourio in the series and to pull one out after his exit is fantastic.

And, on the flip side: I certainly didn't expect to come home to a Sounds twin-billing sweep with a 15-1 run differential. Epic!

Bovee and Pratt racking up the Ks tonight. Tip of cap to the pitchers. Not something I was expecting to see. Two guys that are very high contact and great plate discipline. They must of faced some legit stuff tonight to have 3 a piece 

 

Avina maybe had my favorite line i have ever seen from him. 2-2 with HR and 3 walks!

I noticed that. Another low-minors guy with athleticism, but he flashes power too. If he can figure out/maintain the plate discipline part, look out.

Martinez has been an enigma to me for awhile now. Really gratifying to see him hit the ground running for the Shuckers.
