Hedbert Perez was assigned to Wisconsin. Looks like he might be making his 2024 debut tonight!

Boy, there's an 'out of sight, out of mind' name. Good to see him get a chance to at least get his feet wet in '24.

  • 1B/DH Wes Clarke was activated from the Temporarily Inactive List
  • RHP Craig Yoho was placed on the Temporarily Inactive List
  • RHP Aidan Maldonado was placed on the 7-Day IL by the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (retroactive to 8/12)

Yes, this RHP Craig Yoho:

Hopefully, he comes healthy and strong from whatever reasons he is temporarily inactive for...

Yes, this RHP Craig Yoho is going on the 'Development List':

Keep in mind that he is now on the Temporary Inactive List, not Development.

Temporary Inactive (possibly a funeral or other family matter, or any other personal reason necessitating time away)

Clearly, I'm just sad I don't get to watch Mr. Yoho pitch in the near-term. 😂 Thanks for pointing that back out to me! I adjusted my commentary.

@wiguy94:

  • RHP Blake Holub has been assigned to the Nashville Sounds from the Bilxoi Shuckers

**This very much appears to be a random entry error via the MiLB Transaction earlier today**

Okay where did you see this because I don't see it on the MiLB transactions page and Holub is still listed on Biloxi's roster

Edit: I can confirm Holub is still in AA as I just watched him pitch a 1-2-3 inning for Biloxi.

That's really odd. It was definitely posted on that page earlier today. Clearly, it was an error? Weirrrrd.

Maybe Gardner going on the IL made them reverse course and keep Holub in Biloxi

Oh wow. Nick Bennett - never quite put it together and as a college pick from 2019 he had some time to prove it, and hopefully will get a chance in Indy ball or another organization.

But Norman - that's more surprising given the lack of catching depth, and he was JuCo pick. But I guess at age 22 and still not having great numbers at low A time to see if another organization will give him a chance, or maybe there was other things going on as well. I wish them both luck, as we all do for the players released.

As minor league fans we do get attached to the players, and dream of their success helping the Brewers win. Sadly the vast majority will not do that directly but we root for them every day

Neither of these moves are all that surprising given what I've seen over the past season plus. And, as always, I wish them the absolute best in their next endeavors - baseball and/or otherwise. May they crush it wherever they land and whatever they do. They gave their all and it didn't work out this top.
