The Qualify-or-Go Home Finale between Germany and Brazil has commenced, with the Brewers’ Yannic Walther DHing and batting 6th for Germany:

Germany fell 6-4 to Brazil, with our man Yannic Walther going 0-for-3 with a walk (promptly picked off). It was a rough week for the 20-year old, unfortunately.

So the WBC 2026 field is now set, with Colombia, Nicaragua, Brazil and Chinese Taipei grabbing the last 4 qualifying spots. Games start on March 5, 2026.
