Putrid.

(at least right now, I don't think it will end the season that way)

What exactly is going to change with this offense. The left side of the infield will remain the worst in baseball and Yelich is not going back to 2018-19.

The left side of the infield is a real problem.

Yelich won't go back to OPSing .900, but I doubt he continues being this bad. I also expect a significant rebound from Contreras.

Chourio has the lowest walk rate and the second highest chase rate in the NL and for that alone the hitting coaches should be axed.

Contreras is hurt and it sounds like something that will linger all year so I wouldn't count on him returning to form this season.

One for 14 again after having a decent stretch

I think the Brewers need to fire Al Laboeuf. So many of these hitters just look awful at the plate. Timing is off. Swing decisions are awful. This team needs a shock move and firing Laboeuf is the easiest one you have.

It certainly couldn't be any worse.

Only sticking around to see if Rob-Z makes an appearance. Game is lost.
Anything can happen in baseball I guess but I severely doubt we mount a comeback

Tobias is gonna be down for some time methinks.  Not that it was possible for him to put the team in position to win when they can't score.

This entire game is a perfect encapsulation of a team that can't lose and a team that can't win. The Twins are playing better but they're also just lucky af while the Brewers are the opposite.

Or the Brewers just suck. They are 28th in offensive xwOBA, 19th in pitcher xwOBA, and pretty average defensively.

Oh boy, Waino is on the broadcast! Levering will have to take a shower after the game.

Waino is doing a nice job IMO.  He was a pain on the mound but he's pretty good behind the mic.

And TBH, Minnesota's lineup is kinda trash (at least right now).

It seems like every one of their hits is finding holes whereas ours are not.

The Twins are getting a good performance from Roger Clemens' kid, fer chrissakes. That's the type of three-week stretch they're on right now.

Caleb Durbin playing over Monte right now because??

Because he's Murphy's favorite pet project

Thank goodness this is a national broadcast.  It at least spares me from having to listen to Levering for a game.

Levering is literally calling the game for Fox lol

Hyde fired by the Orioles and he had more good will imo than Murphy. I say all star break he's gone.

I don't think Hyde had all that much goodwill, I think the front office used him as cover to paint over their absolute trainwreck of an offseason.

Also, the Orioles are one of the worst teams in the league whereas the Brewers are just normal-bad.
