Murphy said after the game that perhaps the ball that hit a roof cable was actually Ueck swatting it away.... I don't think so Murph, that just seems silly. What that play did signify, however, is the return of DEVIL MAGIC to the team. And just in time for the playoffs! Great team + DEVIL MAGIC = World Series

Why is Greg holding his hand up like he wants to challenge something? Is he okay?

How sweet it is!

Greg almost cried.

Narrator: "He did not."

The thing is, you just don't see position players pulled from the field or from the bases unless it's something absolutely egregious. What Pratt did was not anywhere close to egregious even factoring in the bunt pull back the prior at bat. So you have Murphy with the knee jerk reaction. If you just had to bench Pratt because he violated some baseball code so badly, you at least wait until in between innings and then send Bunty out to the field. Bush league move by Murphy the way he handled it.

What a horrible way to lose.

What was Bunty's damn hurry on that throw? He had plenty of time to square his shoulders and make the throw but was all in a panic for some reason. The runner was even pulling up knowing he was going to be out FFS

Can't challenge pitches when position players are pitching

Absolute pain

Absolute pain.

I see Garrett Mitchell. And I think one of them says Bunty.

This game thread was toxic af.

Is Wild Bill drunk? What the hell is going on out here?!

This trade has the long-term potential to hand the Devil Magic BACK to the Cardinals.
