You'll see that this is a lean Link Report, please lean heavily on the very solid game summaries today. There are worthwhile nuggets for you below, so hang in there, thanks.

Quero Provides Winning Runs with Two-Run Blast, Sounds Beat Bulls 6-2 - Stallings Works Five Strong Innings, Avans Extends Hitting Streak

Four video clips via the Sounds "X" feed to enhance what is a wonderfully detailed - as usual - game summary.

Later this weekend, we'll likely see OF Tristan Peters in this series. Just optioned by the Rays, Peters, the former Crew farmhand, traded to San Francisco in 2022 (Trevor Rosenthal didn't pan out, injury), was 0-for-12 in his first big league stint, seven K's, zero walks.

Speaking of former Brewers, RH reliever Evan Reifert hit OF Jared Oliva with a pitch in the top of the 9th. Oliva remained on the basepaths but was replaced on defense in the bottom of the inning.

Shuckers Fall to Clingstones on Fight Like a Shucker Night - Restituyo records two outfield assists, Lara tallies three-hit night

Top five in the order went 9-for-20, two walks, zero K's. Garrett Spain's double was the lone non-single, but still pretty impressive.

Despite the loss, plenty of video via the team's "X" link.

Speaking of the "X" link, take a look at the banner photo. It combines two recent items. There was parrot talk Thursday, but the definitive article is here:

The other photo in that banner, here's the explanation:

Balk dispute:

Ejections: Shuckers manager Joe Ayrault ejected by HP umpire Jack Wason (8th).

Final: Great Lakes (Dodgers) 16, Wisconsin 5
Box Score and Game Log

Loons Barrage Beats Wisconsin - Great Lakes hits four homers to top Timber Rattlers 16-5

I hope opponent's fans, friends and family appreciate that the Timber Rattlers highlight packages feature all the scoring plays from both teams - that's so rare, and so polite. Enjoy the Luis Pena home run, which is amazing here. Mop-up position player Victor Torres' lob-in pitches, as well, despite the results:

Postgame Podcast: "Short and Sour"

Chris Mehring's comments within the pod are insightful - Jesus Made shined, except the one time he looked like an 18-year-old. You may think you don't need to learn more about a blowout loss, but as always, tune in to learn more beyond the summary and box score.

Carolina Pre-Game Media Notes
Final: Carolina 20, Fayetteville (Astros) 3

Mudcats Drop Third Straight at Fayetteville

Josh Adamczewski singled twice.

The most impressive of the five Carolina pitchers was mop-up utility man Luis Lameda.

Final: DSL Brewers Blue 6, DSL Red Sox Red 1
Box Score and Game Log

Following opener Bryan Regalado, the two 17-year-old Blue aces followed, with RHP's Steven Duran and Diustin Mayorquin tossing eight scoreless with 11 K's. Duran did issue four free passes (two BB's, two HBP's, two wild pitches), yet no Sox scored in his five frames. Mayorquin's three two-hit innings were cleaner.

18-year-old 3B/2B (2B here) Jhoanjel Saez launched his first professional big fly, 18-year-old OF/1B (1B here) Angel Gonzalez his 2nd, both in the 8th inning.

Final: DSL Brewers Gold 7, DSL Cubs Blue 4, seven innings as scheduled
Box Score and Game Log

Chicago fans blamed Craig Counsell for this loss.

Tied 4-4 in the top of the 9th, three Golden Boys walked, setting up first baseman Joandrew Pena, the second-year 18-year-old Venezuelan native, who drove in all three with a double. This was only Pena's fifth game of 2025, just off the 60-day injured list. Good for him!

Taiwanese RHP Chang Tzu-Chun Lin made his second pro appearance, allowed a run on a fielder's choice groundout in his one-inning start.

It's evening action for the four full-season squads, and the final set of Saturday DSL games fill the late morning (DSL season ends Tuesday). It's going to be a glorious weather day here in my Massachusetts homebase, may many Brewers prospects cross homebases today! Oh yeah, go Brewers!
