I never understood why coaches never seem to figure this out. If there is 2:03 left when you snap the ball and you’re trying to run the clock out — the clock is going to stop after the play no matter what you do. Freaking pass and try to catch them off guard. How is it so hard to think of?

There was 2:07 left, not 2:03.  Would have had to be a long pass play, and if the pass gets knocked down it's not 2:00 yet.

I’d still try to score a TD. I don’t trust a field goal attempt. But I am used to our special teams.

The Rams don't have McManus for their kicker. It's okay.

I'm so scarred I don't think I will ever trust a special teams play to win a game again for the rest of my life.

I didn’t see the specific play, so I can’t speak to that play in particular, but I see plenty of opportunities for pass plays in similar situations with <2:05 in a half.

Much like Rodgers double Hail Mary, Williams TD throw goes down in meaningless history.

Chicago will still throw a parade...Will be a good send-off when they move the stadium back to Gary

More baffling was on 2nd down they snapped the ball with about 5.5 play clock seconds left on a running clock. It would have negated the whole sequence at the end.

Can’t wait for all the Chicagoans rationalizing this as a moral victory. Take it from those who have been there about 25 times before: there is no moral victory. If your team gets this far, you had a chance to win a title, and every missed chance is a real loss. End of story.

I understand, but the punt would have made it go to the warning. So that run would have made it after the punt be 1:52 vs 2:00. Either way the bears have way too much time with one TO left.
