Unreal having a 103 win season. So many times throughout the years we’d be long since eliminated by this point, but Dad and I unofficially made it a point to listen to the last game, knowing that it would be a long winter without the voices of summer Bob Uecker and Pat Hughes. And some of those last games the Crew was so almost irrelevant, and getting their butts kicked. Ueck would be telling a story about spandex pants or whatever else. But it didn’t matter. We loved it for what it was. I wish Ueck was here to see this season and regale us some more. No matter what comes next, this has been a very, very special treat. Unforgettable. Let’s Go Brewers!!!!

Unreal seeing 102 wins. Just finished watching on delay. The 2nd out in the 9th…Turang made that play look automatic and easy. What a special player.

Curious if that “hit” will stand. It’s such a joke how hard it is to get charged with an error anymore.

I think Harrison based on what we’ve seen lately I just can’t imagine him being on a postseason roster at all. I think an offseason of rest, strengthening and work is going to serve him well. I wouldn’t be opposed to him starting the resting right now, honestly. But that’s just from my perspective and the little I see.

I was busy tonight, checked the score. Nice. Then pop in to have a look at the IGT and it reminds me of drunks brawling in a parking lot after bar time.

Depends on what grill you are using. If you have something with a good tight fitting lid and good vents you can shut as soon as you’re done cooking it’s not bad. I get about a dozen cooks off a 16# bag of kingsford now that I have a grill that the fuel guy didn’t knock over with the hose. But I’ve used friends’ grills that don’t have a tight fit and there’s nothing but ashes left the next day. That would suck.

I feel like gas is so minimally faster I have zero use for a gas grill. The chimney starters are so effective. And a little trick I use to speed it up is I tear off some of the bag and put it in the top, crumpled. Then the charcoal on it, followed by the used charcoal from in the grill. Then paper below like usual. By using that technique, the coals are ready in the about 10 minutes it takes me to take care of mise en place. Chicken thighs and zucchini last night were absolutely on point.
