Sproat’s leash is so long I’m not even sure you can say he has a leash anymore.

I’d guess Drohan is the guy moving back into the pen. He had a lot of success in that role previously and they could certainly use another LHP in the pen.

Great. Pratt call up and it feels like we are seeing even more Ortiz than usual. Not even discussing Vaughn anymore. The die has been cast.

Joey has played a lot because the Brewers have faced LHP in 3 of the 6 games since Pratt was called up.

Vaughn at shortstop?  (Blue)

with Rengifo gone, not sure who else there to play if Pratt is getting a night off.

shall we speculate if Pratt gets a pinch hit opportunity tonight?

maybe if we have a couple on late and need a hit, Pratt could PH for Hamilton or Ortiz.

then the debate can be Pratt or Vaughn.  Lmao

Pratt took quite the foul ball off of the shin yesterday.  No problem with him sitting.

Also he's a guy fresh up from AAA where they never play more than 6 days in a row. Just giving him the occasional day off to make sure he's fresh down the stretch seems like a pretty sensible thing to do.

I'm surprised it was Rom getting removed for Woodruff. It makes it even more odd that he wasn't used Sunday, plus even though Rom is no world-beater now you're looking at only one LHP in the BP (although from the sound of it Drohan could be returning there). That might buy Koenig a little more time if they feel that's needed?

I get people not wanting to see Sproat starting, but if he's removed from the rotation at some point then please let him stay stretched out in Nashville.

I don’t think Sproat has shown anything that says he’s a starter.  If my choices are starting or AAA, I’m definitely sending him down.  Wish we could take a Patrick type route with him
