Reality still sinking in for me and I’m still in disbelief the Brewers just did what they did. 4 game sweep vs arguably the best 4 man playoff starting rotation ever assembled (maybe debatable vs 2025 LAD with healthy Ohtani instead of Skubal) and some others. White Sox 2005 World Series sweep of Houston with rotation of Clemens, Oswalt, Pettite, etc comes to mind. Surely some others from before my time. 4 games vs Skubal, Yamamoto, Snell, Glasnow. Probably 3 of the top 10 starting pitchers in the MLB and maybe 4 of the top 20 (when all healthy). 4 combined cy young awards between Skubal and Snell and soon to be back to back top 3 finishes by Yamamoto likely. in 4 games we limited these 4 dominant starters to only 18 IP and rattled off 13 ER. This dominant sweep over a behemoth of a team will still be brought up 50 years from now by our fans and hopefully by national media. Ive been watching since 2003 when I was 7 years old and have seen all the heartbreak since, same as everyone else. Best top to bottom playoff series performance in Brewers history, by far, considering the opponent. Well worth celebrating but jobs not finished. Some positives/negatives of this 8 day layover to the World Series, able to rest and calm down emotions from a very emotional series victory. But, some rust may be visible in game 1, hopefully not. Lets go win this thing!

Promotion to AA incoming

Was curious how they’d get Adams/Burke/Wilken/Quero all in the same lineup and now Quero is back catching again finally so I have my answer

Brewers signing these total bums Ji Wan Bae and Ornelas the past few weeks to fill in for Pratt makes me wish they just gave Freddy Zamora or Ethan Murray their cup of coffee at the MLB level but I digress

Made will surely get a taste of AAA soon probably within 2-3 weeks, O’Rae and Boeve have done good enough at AA to maybe get a taste of AAA this year, however I wonder how they will divy up all these ABs between these guys, AAA will soon be extremely crowded in the infield. I wonder if they will just release a guy or 2 to make room, or demote someone underperforming to AA like Freddy Zamora, Eric Brown or Eduardo Rodriguez. They also have Brock Wilken, Ethan Murray, etc taking up infield ABs. Quero taking up ABs at DH. Luke Adams injury AFAIK doesn’t seem season ending and could be back soon. But now Burke is at AAA playing 1B too. Jett Williams also there in the IF if his injury isn’t season ending, he would probably move to OF. Fischer possibly gets a taste of AAA at the end of the year too. I kind of figured Adams would be included in a deal at the deadline as they have a ton of AAA/AA 1B/3B guys and he is rule 5 eligible this offseason, and I think would actually be selected by another team if not on the Brewers 40 man. Wilken, Boeve, O’Rae also rule 5 eligible but don’t think they’re of high enough pedigree to be poached by another team. Made for 1 of Zamora/E. Brown/E. Rodriguez seems like an easy AA/AAA shortstop swap soon though or they can just release one of them to make room.

I don’t pay enough attention to their daily lineups so not sure who Pena will replace in the daily AA lineup but I assume Made will be sent to AAA soon? With a big league call up in early 2027 then pending
