7/18/2004 Brewers (Capuano) vs. Cubs (Wood)

[hawing]

Thanks, Cap, for the quality start on a day when (once again) a quality start was essential.

but the craptastic offense is floundering...

Isn't it normal for a craptastic offense to be floundering?

[ja002h]

Nice job Chris.

[Shampoo4U]

At least he can hit the ball.

[RoseBowlMtg]

Alright Chris small ball at it's best!

Time for Scotty to slap one to left!

[ja002h]

Scotty!! Great game for him. Hold the lead!!

[Vgmastr]

What's gotten into Scotty??

3-1 Crew http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif

[RoseBowlMtg]

or pull one down the line...3-4 Scotty way to go!

[endaround]

Anyone want to try to explain the fascination with Jeff Bennett?

[ja002h]

What's wrong with Adams for the 7th??

Oh right, nothing.

Of course now we see Adams warming up. Thanks Ned.

[bryan]

When is Yost going to learn to not put Bennett in in close games. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/devil.gif

[endaround]

Bennett is the worst reliver on the Brewers, so why is he anywhere near a two run game?

[nohopspanther]

Can we now ship the reject back to pittsburgh?

[brewcru1]

I am seriously questioning the logic behind Ned's bullpen decisions. He brings in Bennett who has struggled lately and boom, home run. He brought in Kinney vs the Reds last Sunday and he gave up runs. What's wrong with Matt Wise or Dave Burba?

Adams should have the 7th

Vizzy the 8th

Kolb the 9th

[brewcru1]

Why are Darron and Bill praising this guy? These guys are clowns

[endaround]

I can see wanting to give Vizcaino a day off, but Bennett should not be a choice.

Because a stable lead runs counter to the Brewers' popular gritty battler image? I mean, aren't you more on the edge of your seat now than you were five minutes ago? That's the Jeff Bennett brand of excitement, baby.

That's all I've got.

[RoseBowlMtg]

3 HR's to Cubs this series all on high inside fastballs! Aren't those pitches suppose to be outside?

Let's get some more runs!

[MachMeister5]

in order to trade him to the NYM for 3B prospect David Wright during their "playoff chase" http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif

[RoseBowlMtg]

Sammy

Now Keith tee off on one of those 97 MPH fastballs!

[MUCrisco]

Sammmmy...haha nice try.

[endaround]

Good thing there is no such thing as a Cub error.

[RoseBowlMtg]

Give that ball a fastball!

Yeah!

[endaround]

Why is Moeller batting?

[PeaveyFury]

Why is Moeller batting?

Who exactly should replace him?

EDIT: Forgot about Erickson, my bad.
