I am still trying to figure out exactly how we managed to lose this game. Seriously. This easily had to be one of the most deflating losses of the year. That 5 run 9th seemed to take all of the steam out of the crowd.

 

Other than the game, today was a great day. My Cappy bobble had a chip out of the helmet brim, but I didn't feel like going to guest relations and getting a new one especially since I saw Cappy signing stuff down the right field line so I just had him sign my chipped bobble, lol. I also got a retro from a friend later, so that was cool.

 

Random game comment time: Linebrink pitched great. Wise needs some mental time off ala Turnbow last year. Eventually Coco had to become human at home, it is only disappointing it had to be today. All of those late inning walks killed us, absolutely killed us.

That's why I said I'm not sure how many guys make that play. He went a long way to get there and just couldn't get the glove all the way to the ground.

 

FWIW-- In the post-game Ned commented that "this play has to be made"

 

I agree with Blazer -- he needs to lay out and get his body in front of that ball.

I was at the game and wow, just pure shock that we managed to give up 5 in the 9th and lose in extras. Very heartbreaking, Wise is not right whatsoever. But on the brightside, 2 of 3 from Philly is pretty good. But it should have been a sweep.
